Starting a business isn’t easy but it is definitely rewarding. There are so many things I wish I knew before I began many years ago. Here are just 3 ways to achieve success in business:

Get Organised:

Don’t underestimate the power of organisation. It will help you complete tasks and stay on top of everything. A good way to be organised is to create a to-do list each day. As you complete each task, check it off your list. This will ensure that you’re not forgetting anything and completing all the tasks that are essential to the survival of your business.

Two tools I love to help keep things oragnised:

  1. Google Keep (it’s free and great for daily personal tasks).
  2. Asana for project management (it’s a subscription service and wonderful if you have tasks for other team members to manage).

Get Help:

I have always sought help from experts to help me grow and reach my goals. And I have never been afraid to hire experts in their fields to assist me when needed (such as website designers and copywriters, coaches and counsellors). There’s no need to do it all alone and beneficial to get help from those expertly trained.

I can help you with your business (getting the right systems and programs in place, to organise your virtual documents and emails as well as offering words of support when you hit a rough patch).

Know your ‘why’:

Why do you do what you do? Your “why” is a statement of purpose which describes the work you do and why you do it. Remind yourself of your why when you make decisions, when things get hard and in order to stay focused on your business goals.

I recommend reading ‘Start With Why‘ by Simon Sinek. It’s a great book and will get you back on track.
